About this dataData Source & Methodology

Snapshot details

Canonical source rules

Official headline indicators use get_total_percentages. Population and technology totals use get_water_supply_district_count. Area infrastructure uses get_water_supply_district; area safe-water and functionality percentages use get_county_population.

The anomalous get_pws_technology summary is retained for validation but is not used for public totals.

Known limitations

Different component datasets may have different coverage and denominators. The official 73% access indicator may use a different method from the calculated reported-served/population ratio. Solar pumping is not separately identified. No point-level GPS records, trends, water quality records, repair histories or prioritization model are included in this Phase 1 view.
